As part of the process of receiving accreditation from The Association of Theological Schools, the Byzantine Catholic Seminary of SS. Cyril and Methodius will welcome the visit of an accreditation evaluation committee on September 23-26.  With the Self-Study report, this visitation will further evaluate the Seminary in terms of ATS standards, and will determine whether our theological school is recommended for accreditation to the ATS Board, placing us among our peer institutions in North America.

The Seminary visitors will be chaired by Rev. Gary Riebe-Estrella, the Vice President and Academic Dean of the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago.  Committee members include Ms. Sharon Taylor, the Donald G. Miller Librarian and Director of the Clifford E. Barbour Library at the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary; Msgr. Joseph G. Prior, Rector and President of St. Charles Borromeo Seminary outside of Philadelphia; Rev. Nicholas C. Triantafilou, President of Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline, MA.  ATS will be represented by Msgr. Jeremiah J. McCarthy, Director of Accreditation and Institutional Evaluation, and Ms. Carol Lytch, Assistant Executive Director.
